Who is Dave Heatwave?
Produced by the nectar of the Cosmos, Dave Heatwave hails from the molten ball of light at the center of our solar system. Part wrestler, part glam superstar, Dave is a self-proclaimed “sunling” whose attraction to our ever-warming planet led him here with a mission to connect to the core of the human experience. A true romantic and passionate spirit, Dave aims to captivate his listeners with his unique perceptions of love, pain, and desire, all the while inviting them along to partake in his galactic journey.
Dave is an LA-based artist bringing a bold new voice to retro-futuristic pop. Fusing 80s-inspired synth-wave with the smoky swagger of an off-strip lounge act, his sound is as distinctive as it is enigmatic. With vocals evoking a blend of Ian Curtis, Fat Elvis, and Spaceghost, Dave’s music occupies a world of its own. His full-length album Star City dropped digitally in May 2025, with a limited-edition 12" vinyl LP arriving this fall. Most recently, Dave wrote and produced the theme song for Weird Kids - the breakout show created by the minds behind the hit series Critical Role.
The Dave Heatwave live experience can be described as dynamic, weird, danceable, and queer-friendly - often resonating well with adventurous, underground-leaning crowds. He has opened up for acts such as Planet Booty, Trey Magnifique, and David Liebe Hart of Adult Swim's Tim and Eric Awesome Show Great Job!
